Very interesting article on the beginnings of electronic music and a great video of his studio. Only to bad that despite the fact that he has very expensive synthesisers and electronics he is using simple pa speakers to monitor his mixes. Imagine how much better his room would sound if he used beolab 3, 5 or 90 speakers and proper room acoustics (something like the garden room in the Sausalito ‘the plant studios’ just to give a random example)

I think he represents the second generation after Friedrich Trautwein and his Trautonium. Oskar Sala and Paul Hindemith were involved too. First instrument was built in 1930.
It became famous with Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds.
